What is an Educational Loan?
This is a collateral-based loan which has been specially designed to facilitate Nepalese students to support their financial requirements to pursue their higher education above +2 either in Nepal or abroad.
This loan shall be provided to finance up to 100% of the total cost subject to the valuation of collateral. Generally, the loan amount shall vary from minimum NPR 0.3 million to maximum NPR 10 million with tenure up to 15 years excluding the moratorium period.
What shall I require to apply for an Education loan?
The banks and financial institutions shall require you to furnish the following
documents while applying for the education loan.
Identification:
- Recent passport size photo ( 2 Copies)
- Copy of citizenship certificate / passport
- Relationship certificate ( If applicable )
- Marriage certificate ( If applicable )
- PAN certificate ( Loan amount equals or above 5 million )
Financial details:
- Bank statement of at least 6 months
- Networth Statement
Other details:
- Copy of academic certificate
- Offer Letter / I-20 from Education Institutions (Colleges/Universities)
- The course of Enrollment (CoE)
- Letter from Education Institutions (Colleges/Universities) (In case of Visa Extension)
- No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Education (MoE)
Collateral details:
- Title deed
- Four Boundary certificate
- Revenue tax receipt of land
- Building construction completion certificate
